Accommodations

CocoVivo is a rustic place. We care about cleanliness, safety, and comfort, but don't expect a normal hotel room. Accommodations vary from a nice bedroom (in the picture) to dry, screened-in crash space.

We collect rainwater from the main roof and it is stored in three 400 gallon tanks, so we have running water in all buildings. Electricity comes from solar panels and backup generators in case there is not enough sunshine. We have propane-powered fridges and stoves. So under normal circumstances, life is very comfortable; but any of these systems can break down any time, which keeps life interesting.

The main house is on a hill 5 minutes from the water. It is about 2000 sqft in size and includes:
- main bedroom (sleeps 2). A real bed.
- downstairs bedroom (simpler, darker, good if you want to sleep in) (sleeps 2)
- living room couch
- crash space upstairs (sleeps 2-4, plenty of space, mattresses  the floor)
- shared bathroom with flush toilet
- separate shower outside
- two work / living room areas

The Cabin on the water includes:
- loft bedroom (sleeps 2), great view
- rancho on the water (sleeps 2), great view
- shower
- composting toilet is a 2 minute walk, on the land

We keep total occupancy around 6-8 people, so there is plenty of space.
